A creeky sound coming from my knee?

I've recently started to hear a creeky sound that is either coming from my knee or from my foot (not sure which). It happens sometimes only when I walk and it's annoying me.I have no bone pain whatsoever.I am a 41 year old female, overweight and I admit I do not exercise.(that's about to change) I had a bone density test done recently (I had it done because I have been on the Depo for several years and there's a family history of bone issues and I wanted to check if I have anything to worry about. Evidently not as the test turned out okay.) I have no bone issues. So how do I get rid of this creeky sound when I walk?It's annoying. I have the same creekiness in my neck when I move it about vigorously. A few more creeks and I can make my own music. LOL.
